Gender Bias, Intercultural Aspects of Digital Transformation, Civil Courage

Anahit Kazzazi specialises in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of science, philosophy, and art. She completed her PhD in humanities at the University of Sussex in 2017. She applies a wide range of methods from humanities and social sciences to the study of how gender biases of the real world are transferred to the digital world. In particular, she works on the aspect of co-production of female identity in social media. Besides the development of conceptual frameworks for understanding the similarities and differences of the real and digital worlds, she normally follows a case-based approach in her research to explore the different aspects of the digital gender identities in relation to other sociotechnical dimensions and actors.
